Blogger Recognition Award…Who? Me?
When I started this whole blogging thing, I was doing it to put myself out there with the hope that people would like my writing/story/etc. I dreamed that it would lead to bigger and better things but NEVER expected that those things would surface so quickly.
Well, here we are, 3 months into my blogging journey and a fellow AWESOME blogger Stef of Brunette by Design has nominated me for a Blogger Recognition Award! Stef is a talented writer and lifestyle blogger from Canada who has the most beautiful site and a determination to succeed. Definitely check her out HERE.
I was apprehensive to start blogging, wondering whether or not people would even read what I wrote or be interested in the sometimes mundane aspects of my life. I have since thrown caution to the wind and decided that at the very least, I will have a great catalog of our life together to look back on when I am old and gray. For new bloggers, that would be my first piece of advice – take the leap! It is often times the biggest hurdle to overcome. You might think your writing needs work, or you don’t have anything interesting to say, but I assure you, there are plenty of people out there that will relate to what it is you’re going through or writing about.
They say “it takes a village”. For a single mom, there is nothing more true. I have an amazing support system of family and friends and now, loyal blog followers, that help me be me on a daily basis. That is my second piece of advice for any bloggers – surround yourself with people who support you and know what you are going through. There are tons of blog groups on Facebook and Pinterest and a whole network of super successful bloggers that LOVE to give advice on what makes them successful. Don’t be afraid to reach out, ask questions, bounce ideas off of each other. As long as you pay it forward, everyone is willing to help!
Speaking of paying it forward, I am getting to the best part of this nomination thing! I now get to nominate the blogs/bloggers below. Check out their sites – they are really the best of the best!
